Hypertext has created a world where readers are able to tap into information randomly and at their own pace. The problem arises when false information on the Hypertext world is produced and distributed to the mass society. Although text has a rebirth in that it is no longer subject to a traditional form, it is dangerous to move into these new ways of presenting text. On cyberspace, the text can change quickly and depending upon who accesses information first, there will be alot of false text distributed and retracted quickly with no penalty of its authenticity. When text was presented in paper format/ printing format, it needed to be revised in that it was subject to scrutiny and could be traced back to its source. Hypertext has no scapegoats and no fingers can be pointed when false text is distributed.
